Activate Globe Mobile Prepaid for International Roaming
To activate, just text GROAM ON [Start Date] [Number of Days] and send to 2884.
As an example, if you want to activate your Globe roaming from June 1 to June 15, 2008, that will be 15 days. So, what you do is text GROAM ON 06/01/2008 15 send to 2884.
Minimum balance of Php100 is required in order to enable activation for Globe International Roaming. You also need to have at least Php100 on your daily balance in order for the service to continue working.
Request for roaming activation may be done between 7 days before date of departure to at least 1 hour before departure. Maximum length for activation is 180 days.
For Postpaid Subscribers:
Postpaid subscribers can call 211 (toll-free) via mobile. For help, call +632.7301212 from your mobile (toll-free).
How to Make Calls while roaming:
* Postpaid subscribers
Simply dial “+” + country code + area code (or operator code) + phone number.
Example: +6327301000 if landline or +639178000000 if mobile and press SEND.
* Prepaid clients
Dial *131* + country code + area code (or operator code) + phone number + # sign.
e.g. *131*6327301000# if landline or *131*639178000000# if mobile and press SEND.
How to Send Messages while roaming:
Use the International Number format when sending a message to someone: “+” + country code + mobile access number + mobile number.
Example: +639xxxxxxxxxx, and press SEND.
* For a complete listing of compatible MMS & GPRS phone handsets — send Nokia, Ericsson or Samsung (your handset model) to 2365.
* To get your phone’s settings, text GO (handset model) to 2951. Example, GO N3650. (For a list of compatible handsets, refer to #1)
Note: For Nokia 6220, 6600, and 6820, text GO < handset model >,1234 and send to 2951. Make sure to type in the two commas before the 1234 PIN. Regular text messaging charges will apply.
* Enter 1234 when asked for PIN to save settings.
* Send an MMS message for only Php 5.00 to activate the service.
Note: For prepaid subscribers, please make sure you have credits first before trying to access GPRS/MMS. You won’t be able to use the service if you have zero balance.
Here’s a quick tip on how to activate your phone’s Smart MMS and Smart GPRS settings if you’re with the Smart network:
Download MMS and GPRS settings from Smart:
To download SMART MMS phone settings:
Key in SET MMS and send to 211.
To download SMART GPRS phone settings:
Key in SET GPRS and send to 211.
Example: If you have a Nokia 6230, that’s “SET MMS N6230”
To activate SMART GPRS:
Key in “GPRS ON” and send to “333″
To activate SMART MMS:
Key in “MMS ON” and send to “333″
Note :
The configuration settings will be sent to your phone. You will need to select “Save All” to save the settings in the phone. Some MMS and GPRS handsets already have pre-loaded phone settings.
Activation of MMS and GPRS will require a confirmation message from SMART. A message will be sent to the sub once the feature has been activated
You can access Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail or even ISP Email on your Smart Buddy 3G phone using broadband connection. Pay-per use for only P10 per 30 min flat rate.
Here’s how to send and receive email form your Smart Buddy 3G Celfone.
Before you start, please make sure that your Smart 3G phone is activated. If you have not activated it, just type SET 3G to 211. For example: SET 3G N70. (P2.50/text).
3 Ways to Access Email On Your Celfone:
1) via Smart 3G WAP site
- Go to the Smart 3G WAP Site: http://www.smart.com.ph/3G
- Click on “Experience 3G High Speed Internet Now!”
- Click on “Mail & Messaging”
- Select your Email provider
- Log-in your username and password. If you don’t have an existing Email account, you can create your new account with any of the free email services
2) via Nokia Settings Wizard
This only applies to select Nokia handsets. Please check your phone’s user guide.
1. Go to you Phone Menu and click on ‘Tools’ and select ‘Settings Wizard’
2. Click on” Email’
3. Select the Country (Philippines) and Operator (Smart)
4. You will see a list of Internet Service Providers (ISP) and Email Providers. (i.e. Infocom, Yahoo! Mail Philippines, GMail, Yahoo! Mail Plus)
5. Select your email provider
6. Log-in your email address, user name and password
3. via your Phone’S Messanging / Email Application (This applies to all 3G handsets)
1. Go to your phone’s Messaging menu then to your Email/Mailbox settings
2. Define a New Email Account on your phone
3. Enter your email’s POP (incoming) and SMTP (outgoing) server settings
4. Set your mailbox username and password
5. When prompted for a Connection or Access Point, select “Smart Internet”

Click on the link of the service you want to access.
